A Dead Deal 

Can you survive a month? Send your runners to dangerous locations in order to bring back supplies for the camp. 

How to play

  • Draw a runner and two location cards. (done automatically)
  • Select which location the runner will go to.
    • Location cards
      • have a cost (weapons)
      • a reward (food, medicine, or weapons)
      • risk factor
      • infection risk factor 
      • damage done
      • xp reward
  • You are given three random runners to begin with and are rewarded with a choice of 1 out of 3 random runners every week.
  • Runners will level up (increase max health by 1) after hitting 5/5 xp, and will also regain full health and cure infections. (Hint: Don't heal unless you have to!)
  • Win by surviving a month.
  • Lose by running out of runners, not having enough food for them, or not having the supplies for a run.
  • Events have a chance of happening every night. These include:
    • losing supplies to bandits or zombies
    • a trade deal from travelers
    • a gift from people staying the night at your camp
  • Every night you can heal and/or cure your runners with medicine. If you do not cure a runner, they will take 1 damage every night and have a chance to spread the infection.
  • Every night your runners consume food.

The game develops really slow and it doesn't look like your choices matter. Nothing is happening: just small changes in the lower row of numbers...

The main focus of the game is managing your resources (the numbers/icons on the bottom of the screen). In order to gain resources you must go on "runs" by sending out your runners to various locations that offer different rewards and danger levels.
